A consortium made of Belgrade and Sarajevo companies- Energomontaza a.d. and Energoinvest, on 28/11/2014, has signed a contract with the Montenegrin Transmission System (CGES) for the construction of 400 kV transmission line Lastva -Pljevlja, section Čevo-Pljevlja.The value of the contract is 29,33 million eur , and It is by far the largest investment of its kind in Southeast Europe.
Tender procedure was carried out in line with the EBRD regulations whose loan funds the project. Size of work has attracted renowned companies from all over the world. The documentation was bought by 33 companies from 20 different countries, a bid submitted a 11 bidders. In the most severe global competition Energomontaža and Energoinvest offered the best and most economically advantageous solution. which once again proved that companies from the region by pooling can fight side by side with the world's biggest players and to triumph in the competition. The subject of the contract is design and construction of mixed line of 400 kV, total length 115 km, double long-distance pipeline is 40 km long and single 75 km, as well as solving all crossing with the existing lines of voltage level of 110 kV and lower.
The route goes through an extremely complex and demanding area, through the national park Durmitor and the Tara river canyon, on some 420 pillars.
